What were your expectations for this role during the first month?

When I first started working at Linedata I was entirely sure what to expect. I knew I'd be most likely working on porting a legacy application from C++ to C#, but that was the extent of it. I was expecting a challenging but rewarding battle with the codebase and in many ways that's what I got. In reality, the legacy system wasn't as scary as I first imagined it would be. I didn't really know what to expect in terms of the company - I only met a small number of people at my interview. I was pleasantly surprised on that front.
