I suggest don't be afraid to jump into something completely new, it most likely will be exciting, frightful, fun, stressful, but in the end worth it. Growth starts where your comfort zone ends, if you believe that you can do it, you will, if others can do it, why can't you. If you can't go forward and you refuse to go back, this is when you grow, just look around and you will see that there is always a way.

In support, I constantly encounter new topics, both functional and technical. It is important to keep an open mind and address all types of subjects, including those with which I am not familiar. One needs to be curious and able to work on new functional and technical issues. Conducting research in our knowledge database, consulting documentation, or asking colleagues for help are essential steps to solving any issue. The product we work on has many features, and there is always something new to learn.

While there is a pervasive attitude in the labor markets that employers do not adequately provide for their employees, I find at Linedata, if you demonstrate your commitment, good things will come of it. There are many opportunities for advancing your career and there are a wide variations of jobs that are performed here. If your a valued employee, show competency and commitment, your likely going to recognized and promoted to newer roles of greater responsibility in your career. The one thing I have learned during the course of my career is the following: If you choose to move forward in any direction and at some point your realize its probably not optimal or going to produce the benefits you originally projected, have the courage to admit maybe it wasn't such a good idea and seek out other alternatives.
