Starting in Institutional equities to managing global research clients

I started my career in Institutional equities and quickly moved to the research side of the business. I have more than 10 years of experience in equity research, both on the buy and on the sell side. I am working with a US based fund and look at US equities and track macro economic factors. I have worked with multiple asset managers in various strategies such as long short equity, macro funds and special situations. Prior to joining Linedata, I have worked with JP Morgan in the Investment Banking division, where my key responsibilities included evaluation of potential M&A and IPO opportunities in Asia. Before joining JP Morgan, I was associated with Gravitas as a Senior Research Analyst and responsibilities included setting up an offshore research desk for a European investment advisory firm to carry out comprehensive fundamental analysis of listed equity.

My role involves preparing detailed valuation models and providing investment recommendations to the CIO across multiple sectors. In addition, I work on new projects & opportunities and I am also involved in hiring and training analysts.

Keeping track of global markets, analyzing new opportunities & trends

Working with leading analysts and CIOs helps to understand the financial markets in a much better manner. In addition, looking at companies at different stages and also looking at different businesses and how business decisions impact valuations is really interesting and keeps me motivated on a daily basis. My role involves staying updated and also researching and analyzing new opportunities and preparing detailed financial models. Research as a field is of great interest to me and since I do that on daily basis, it makes work really interesting and fulfilling.

I helped set up an offshore research desk early in my career

I helped in setting an offshore Research desk for a European investment advisory firm. In addition, helped in conceptualization and creation of a technology driven valuation platform that enables asset managers to value public equity.
