From Relationship Manager to COO
I came to Linedata after working as a trader for Fidelity on the buyside and CIBC on the sell side. I had a deep appreciation for the criticality of our systems to our clients and wanted to ensure we could deliver the best client experience. I've held a variety of roles at Linedata, and most of them I was promoted into after finding something that needed fixing, improvement, or just a little extra love and before long, that became my new role. I've always loved problem solving and improving the efficiency of processes - those goals have driven my career forward and I'm grateful for the variety of experiences I've had at Linedata.
Chief Operating Officer for North America Asset Management
Overseeing day to day operations in US headquarters and managing client success and support. One of the great aspects of being a COO is I never know what the day might bring! I could be assuaging a client experiencing a PSL1 outage, performing analysis on a potential client upgrade, or picking out fabrics for an office renovation! Being a COO means wearing multiple hats and working with every single department within the company from advisory to wealth management. My background enables me to appreciate what my staff are managing on a day-to-day basis, and I'm never afraid to roll my sleeves up and get involved, but my overarching goal is to ensure operational efficiency and client satisfaction.
Enabling those around me to succeed at their jobs.
I've always preferred to be in a supportive role, rather than front of the house. In drama, I was the stage manager. In sailing, I was the crew. In soccer, I was the defense. At work, I love enabling those around me to do what they do best. I aim to support our critical staff and remove obstacles so they can solve issues and delight our clients. Likewise with our clients, I act as their advocate to ensure they are getting the most out of our firm's solutions and services. It feels good to help fix a problem or make a client happy!
Kaizen! Constantly seek to improve!
Kaizen is the Japanese philosophy that means "change for the better". In business, as in life, we can always look for ways to improve - be it seeking operational efficiencies or applying lessons learned to our next endeavor. Change is good and when you see an opportunity to improve something, it might just lead to your next promotion!
Finding satisfaction and passion in my career.
I've achieved a lot in my 16 years with Linedata and am happy to have more than a few successes to brag about - be it establishing our now critical Project Management team, or renovating our 16,000 sf office while navigating the pandemic, or successfully upgrading the majority of our clients to our newest technology... but, I think my greatest achievement is being able to work at a company where I enjoy my job, my coworkers, and the satisfaction I get on a day to day basis, so much so, that I have chosen to stay with my company for over 16 years. I'm proud of the work I do, and perhaps more importantly, the people I get to work with! When you work hard for something you don't care about, it is called stress. When you work hard for something you love, it's called passion.
